To celebrate the good news, she took to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show to premiere a new single. Featuring production from Kingdom, Girl Unit, and Obey City, Rewind reeks of 90’s style R&B while simultaneously sounding like a lullaby from the future with Kelela’s angelic vocals in the mix. L.A. production duo Penthouse Penthouse recruited Bobby Saint to lend vocals to their latest summertime anthem, 69′ Camaro. The funky single borrows a sample from Mukai Shutoku’s Dandy In Love, resulting in a smooth, G-funk influenced tune that’s perfect for riding around town with the top down. KOR x Northcoast Music Fest 2015 Mix

To properly close out summer, Silver Wrapper and React Presents will host the 6th annual Northcoast Music Festival from September 4th-6th. Taking place at Chicago’s Union Park, over 60 rappers, bands, and DJs will perform over the course of three days.

Tecs Evergreen – If Only Then (Album)

New York-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Tecs Evergreen just released the follow up to his severely slept on 2014 debut LP, Overtones. Released via Dusty International, Evergreen’s If Only Then LP is even more polished and fluid than his last. Featuring thirteen tracks and a guest appearance from vocalist Brooke Manning, his production is more dense and intricate than ever. Highly recommended listening for fans of BSBD, BMB Spacekid, Dream Koala, Fwdslxsh, Prefuse 73, etc.

Prince Innocence – Manic (Single)

Toronto two-piece Prince Innocence caught my attention back around the New Year with their hypnotic single, I Don’t Care. As if the original wasn’t good enough, they went on to release a remixed version featuring vocals from Kilo Kish. Fast forward to this week and Prince Innocence are riding the high from new single, Manic, which was premiered by The Fader. For those who remember Tunnel Visions’ lead single, Crystalis, you’re in for a treat. Made up of Michael Floering (aka Sea Things) and producer Wil Fady, the two-piece production outfit make their return over a year later with an official remix EP. Featuring contributions from Nem270, Cybergiga and Sunbather, whose “sunrise dance party” rework of Crystalis is a highlight, these remixes bring new life to an already futuristic body of work.
