L.A. two-piece Waterbed (formerly MVSCLES) released their self-titled debut EP earlier this year. Last week, Chad and Cat released the music video for do2me, a standout out from their EP. Watch the video, which is just as fun and upbeat as the song, above.

Happy to see one of my favorite songs of 2015 get the video treatment. Obey City’s Airy, which was plucked from his recent Merlot Sounds EP, features delicate vocals from Fade To Mind’s Kelela. Premiered by Opening Ceremony, the video was directed by Trusst creative director, Melissa Matos, who was behind OC’s last video as well. Pick up a copy Merlot Sounds through the link below.

KOR x P4K Fest 2015 Mix
10 July | | electronic

This year marks the ten year anniversary of my favorite live music event, Pitchfork Music Festival. Presenting more than 40 bands over the course of three days in Chicago’s Union Park, Pitchfork manages to secure some of the city’s best local vendors while maintaining very reasonable ticket prices despite an oversaturated local festival circuit.

This year will feature live performances from Wilco, Vic Mensa, Vince Staples, Chance The Rapper, Jamie XX, Clark, A$AP Ferg, Tobias Jesso Jr., Ariel Pink, How To Dress Well, Future Brown, Caribou, CHVRCHES, Run The Jewels, Panda Bear, Todd Terje & The Olsens, Madlib & Freddie Gibbs, ILoveMakonnen, Shamir, Mr. Twin Sister, and so many more. I am honored and excited to be a part of the festival for the third year in a row, which is why I have assembled a mix featuring some of my favorite artists set to perfrom this year. Stream the 18-track mix below and hit the link to purchase a ticket for Friday (Saturday & Sunday are sold out).

Doja Cat & Lone – Dizzy + Bout That Life (Singles)
9 July | | electronic

L.A. rapper/singer Doja Cat recently uploaded two new tracks in collaboration with R&S Records producer, Lone. Originally titled Dream Ache and Airglow Fires, Doja adds a few verses to Lone’s ambient instrumentals and it’s not the first time she’s done this. While I’m almost sure these have all been unofficial releases thus far, I’d love to see these two come together for something new in the future. Until then, stream Dizzy and Bout That Life below.

P. Morris – Daydream EP
7 July | | electronic

New music from BCMG captain P. Morris is always welcomed, especially for the free. His latest release is a short, six-track EP, which is full of the lush, orchestral-style instrumentals that Morris has recently become known for. With melting vocal samples, syrupy synths, and potent basslines, Daydream picks up right where last year’s Beloved EP left off.

Khallee – Crying Diamonds EP
6 July | | electronic

Chicago singer/songwriter Khallee was first introduced as a member of non-traditional R&B outfit, JODY. After collaborating with the majority of Chicago’s rising talent pool, including the dense Posture (Supreme Cuts’ label) and Lo Motion (The-Drum’s label) crews, Khallee finally got around to releasing his solo debut earlier this month. Titled Crying Diamonds, the seven-track outing finds him honing in on his sparse R&B sound that can only be classified as “experimental.” Production is provided by the likes of Bobby Swan and Boody, with a guest appearance from fellow Chicagoan, Holy Kit. Stream Crying Diamonds below.

Deebs & Jarell Perry – Driving Blind (Video)
1 July | | electronic

Birthed from their recent EP, Toronto producer Deebs and L.A. singer/songwriter Jarell Perry teamed up with Pigeons & Planes to premiere the music video for Driving Blind. Jason Voltaire, who is responsible for the direction and lighting here, did a great job of recreating the dark, late night vibes of Driving Blind in visual form. See for yourself below and hit the link to support Deebs & Jarell Perry’s Shift EP.
