Druture ft. Dro Carey – Tier Zero (Single)
17 October | | instrumental

Montreal producer Druture has been all over the place lately. Since parting ways with Grown Folk, he’s released an EP with the Main Attrakionz, worked with a handful of rising talent from Chicago on his Out Of Towner Vol. 1 mixtape, and released new solo material. In fact, his first official EP, Oh No!, dropped earlier this week on Sinden’s Grizzly label. Thump premiered lead single, Tier Zero, which features Dro Carey and a classic Slim Thug sample. Purchase Druture’s Oh No! through link below and stream High Tide, another tune from the EP while you’re at it.

P. Morris – Before You Disappear (Single)

After supporting FKA Twigs on tour and releasing new music with frequent collaborator Kelela, L.A. producer P. Morris is back focusing on himself. With a new EP due at the end of the month, Morris has been working to build up his label, Bear Club Music Group, as well as the talented team around him, which includes Tom Richman, MAAL A GOOMBA, and more. With a release set for October 28th, Morris teamed up with Pigeons & Planes to premiere the first single, Before You Disappear, which you can stream below. Corey Grand – Bathed In Light EP
14 October | | instrumental

Cleveland’s Corey Grand has been prepping for the release of his new EP for months now, releasing several short video trailers backed by snippets of new music. Earlier today, Do Androids Dance premiered Grand’s Bathed In Light EP, which features eight new tracks with guest appearances from Marcus Alan Ward, Twizz and MAZ. While the MAW assisted No One Loves A Paradox was an early standout, Lumpin’ Awesome has to be my favorite. Head below to stream/purchase Bathed In Light in its entirety via Long Division Recordings.

Tennyson – With You (Single)
14 October | | instrumental

Luke and Tess hail from Edmonton and make up experimental pop duo Tennyson, who Ryan Hemsworth introduced me to via his very first release on Secret Songs, shh001. Since then, Tennyson have released nothing but gems, including the lullaby-like Lay By, and their latest tune, With You. Turns out these two singles will be bundled together and sold as a limited edition vinyl. Stream both tracks and preorder their With You/Lay By 7″ through the link below.

Napolian – Road To Incursio (Mixtape)
10 October | | instrumental

Software Recording Co. is home to a few of my favorite releases of 2014, which include full length albums from Napolian and Suicideyear. Today, Software unveiled their latest project, MIXWARE, a mixtape series in which different Software artists compile new, old, and unreleased material alongside remixes, edits, etc. The first release is L.A. producer Napolian’s Road To Incursio mixtape, packed with 32 exclusive tracks and contributions from Oneohtrix Point Never, Dezo, Dro Carey, Tairiq & Garfield, Airbird and more. Download a free digital copy of Road To Incursio through the link below, or go HERE to purchase it in limited cassette form with a screen-printed, hand-numbered case before they run out.

BADBADNOTGOOD – Velvet (Single)
9 October | | instrumental

The best damn band out of Toronto, BADBADNOTGOOD, return with their first piece of new music since their highly anticipated debut LP, III. New tune Velvet finds the trio picking up right where they left off with mellow bass lines, crisp drum rolls and what sounds like a vibraphone. Not sure what’s next for BBNG but as long as they keep it quality over quantity they’re good.

Different Sleep – Secrets (Single)
8 October | | instrumental

Taking a break from working on his debut LP, Chicago’s Different Sleep sat down with Bullett Media to answer some questions and premiere new track Secrets, which is available for free download. Although it won’t appear on his forthcoming album, Secrets exudes a more maximal sound that will be prevalent on his next release. Stream/download it below and look for Different Sleep’s album to drop early next year via Friends of Friends.

Mozaic – I-95 Music (Late Night) (Single)
2 October | | instrumental

Grand Rapids producer Mozaic is the latest member of the AGO crew to release some new solo material. New single I-95 Music (Late Night) is Janet Jackson sampling slow burner that’s perfect for a late night session. Having already produced for the likes of J. Rawls, Young RJ and Rapper Big Pooh, it’s nice to hear what Mozaic is capable of on his own. Hoping for a solo project from him sooner than later.

Stwo – Ninety Two (Mixtape)
29 September | | instrumental

Over the weekend, Parisian producer Stwo released a collection of instrumentals “inspired by Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album” in the form of a mixtape. The eight tracks, labeled Ninety Two, are available for free download via the link below. While you’re at it, sample a few of the beats Stwo thinks “could be a great fit with Drake on them”, including standout Morphans, which sounds like the lost b-side to Connect.

High Klassified – No Ongaku (Single)
25 September | | instrumental

Listen to No Ongaku, a crazy new joint from Montreal’s High Klassified. Since we last heard from HK, he’s had a hand in production for the likes of Juvenile, Mick Jenkins and more, but the young producer has turned his focus back to making solo material. I feel like he’s about due for a follow up to his last EP on Fools Gold. Could this be the first offering?
