Stwo – Ninety Two (Mixtape)
29 September | C3POH | mixtape
Over the weekend, Parisian producer Stwo released a collection of instrumentals “inspired by Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album” in the form of a mixtape. The eight tracks, labeled Ninety Two, are available for free download via the link below. While you’re at it, sample a few of the beats Stwo thinks “could be a great fit with Drake on them”, including standout Morphans, which sounds like the lost b-side to Connect.

Main Attrakionz – Niggaz On Da Run Eatin (Reloaded) (Mixtape)
4 September | C3POH | mixtape
New music from Squadda B and MondreM.A.N. just keeps on coming. This time we have new mixtape, Niggaz On Da Run Eatin (Reloaded), which follows the original from 2011. Featuring nine new tracks and an appearance from Dope G, it’s becoming hard to tell if MAz are cleaning out their hard drives or recording new material to stay sharp at this point. Not complaining either way, as long as 808′s III doesn’t get lost in the mix.

Mishka Presents: W2NDCH2LL – Heat Wave/Beach Season (Double Mixtape)
18 August | C3POH | mixtape
A few months ago, the folks over at Mishka released WindChill: A Chicago Instrumental Experience, an instrumental project showcasing a handful of talented, Chicago based producers. The response from the first release was so overwhelming they followed it up with a two part mixtape this time, featuring a batch of 32 new producers. The tape is split into two sides: Heat Wave, featuring more old school soul-sampling beats, and Beach Season, featuring more chilled out summer ready beats. Dive in and discover new music from rising producers like BlackKat, OnGaud, Nate Fox, Mulatto Beats, Papi Beatz, Benny Nice, Netherfriends, Walkingshoe and so many more. Head below to stream/download both sides via LiveMixtapes. Props to Ben (@neonpajamas) for handpicking the artists and putting this together.
Matayo – f r e e . s o u l vol. 1 (Mixtape)
14 August | C3POH | mixtape
New Jersey producer Matayo is the newest member of the solid Alloy-X roster and his debut release, f r e e . s o u l vol. 1, dropped earlier this week. The mixtape features a dozen tracks, which Matayo has sculpted from dusty old records and tapes to form one very cohesive listening experience. Interwoven with skits and sound bites taken from funk, soul and R&B records, it’s not hard to tell that Matayo has a keen ear for sampling. Label mate Hokes makes the sole guest appearance through out the short but sweet record, giving Matayo room to show off his skills. Highly recommended listen for all the crate diggers and hip-hop heads out there.
