FKA Twigs – Two Weeks (Jarreau Vandal Remix ft. Ashley Röttjers)
1 October | | stream

Netherlands producer Jarreau Vandal straight up nailed this remix of FKA Twigs standout single, Two Weeks. The Soulection affiliate completely reworked the beat and recruited singer Ashley Röttjers to reinterpret Twigs vocals with impressive results. While it may be impossible to outdo the original, Vandal injects a considerable amount of bass and really makes it his own. Best of all, it’s available for free download below.

Saint Pepsi – Fiona Coyne (Caleb Stone x Dream Panther Remix) ft. Pell

Super into this slowed down, drugged up remix of Saint Pepsi’s already stellar single, Fiona Coyne. Caleb Stone and Dream Panther have teamed up to rework the beat while New Orleans rapper Pell spits a slick verse to open things up. Not sure if this is an official remix or not, but if it definitely should be. Highly recommend giving this one a few spins below.

30 September | | stream

Denmark producer Galimatias and L.A. based singer/songwriter Alina Baraz have been collaborating for well over a year now, nonchalantly dropping off random singles via Soundcloud here and there. Up until last week, it seemed like there was no real project or proper release in order. Then the duo released Fantasy, the first single from their recently announced EP, Urban Flora, which is set to release later this fall. With the undeniable chemistry between these two, it’s hard not to be excited for the EP.

Over the weekend, Parisian producer Stwo released a collection of instrumentals “inspired by Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album” in the form of a mixtape. The eight tracks, labeled Ninety Two, are available for free download via the link below. While you’re at it, sample a few of the beats Stwo thinks “could be a great fit with Drake on them”, including standout Morphans, which sounds like the lost b-side to Connect.

I feel like he’s about due for a follow up to his last EP on Fools Gold. Could this be the first offering?
