Young L.A. producer Falcons has returned with the third installment in his coveted remix EP series. Remixxes Vol. 3 features four new tracks, all of which are reworks of classic R&B jams from the late 90′s and early 2000′s. His remix of Ciara’s Oh! with MikeG finally sees an official release on here, in addition to remixes of Brandy & Monica, Missy Elliot and J. Cole. Following in the footsteps of fellow M|O|D members C.Z. and Yung Satan, LiL TExAS is releasing his debut solo EP on May 27th via the Brighton based label Donky Pitch. The EP, titled Talkin 2 U, is a “six track set of club geared throw downs” that is sure to put you in a good mood and make you want to get up and move. Stream/download the rambunctious title track below and check back for the entire EP dropping next week. Dig on that Daft Punk inspired guitar riff in the outro starting at the 2:04 mark.

Listen to another devastating, depressing beat from the mysterious Lil’ Sad in the form of You Were Right. He/she claim to have an EP on the way, which I am looking forward to considering I have posted nearly every Lil’ Sad track thus far. Laughing at the “weepwave” tag on Soundcloud in the meantime.

Face Vega and Gila Monsta, collectively known as Gorgeous Children, are gearing up for the release of ICE, the follow up to their brooding self titled mixtape from last fall. In anticipation of the new EP, Noisey premiered GC’s latest joint, Liberace Gems, which can only be described as some elegant gangster shit. Rumor has it GC have signed to Canadian imprint Vase for an EP release after Evian Christ put label head Jacques Greene onto their music a few months back. Certainly an interesting tidbit that I’m excited to watch unfold.

Very excited to hear new music from Phoenix producer Myrryrs, who is gearing up for another release on Body High. The new EP will act as the follow up to his criminally slept on I’m A State of Mind EP from last year. The always generous Bay area production duo Friendzone have blessed us with another free download in anticipation of their full length LP, DX, which will be released through Brighton based label Donky Pitch later this year. Head below to stream new track Always, a bouncy, sample based kaleidoscope of sounds that should be a good indicator of what to expect from their forthcoming album. Expect more new music from Friendzone sooner than later.

Beloved Canadian super producer Ryan Hemsworth is prepping the release of a new EP, Still Awake, which will drop on his newly launched website next week. The folks over at Mixmag premiered the ambient first single, Perfectly, yesterday and announced a string of European tour dates that Hemsworth will kick off on May 29th in Copenhagen.

Continuing the streak of new visuals from The Patriarch, Deniro releases a video for the Ryan Hemsworth produced Big Tookie, with Anthony Supreme handling director duties as usual. Glad to see this track getting the video treatment considering it’s undoubtedly a high point from the mixtape. Keep an eye out for The Patriarch II coming June 18th!

I have been following Parisian producer Andrea for quite some time now observing him release one off singles and free downloads via his Soundcloud page. Just a few months ago he helped form a new independent label/imprint by the name of Moose Records, and aside from an introductory compilation, Andrea’s Cruising EP serves as their first official release. Coming in at five tracks, there are three originals featuring appearances from Rejjie Snow and Julia Losfelt, in addition to two remixes from Sun Glitters and Slow Magic. Been waiting to hear ViLLΛGE & Arapaima’s joint EP in full since we got a taste of Love On The Line about a month ago. Their six track EP, The Catch, finally saw the light of day last week thanks to Origami Sound and can be streamed below. The release features three solo tracks from ViLLΛGE and three from Arapaima, and will be followed up by an official remix EP featuring some of their favorite artists in the months to come.

French producer Evil Needle experiments with sounds ranging from downtempo, soul, hip-hop, electro and just about everything in between on his latest album, Qualia. Released on Huh What & Where Recordings, the 13 track instrumental album delivers a fresh palette of synth and drum sounds, along with a couple very welcomed collaborations. Most notable is Intrepidity, a brain rattling tune featuring co-production from Hawaii’s Mr. Carmack, whose presence is hard to overlook thanks to the neck snapping snares. With another feature from Freddie Joachim, the rest of the album rides very smoothly while offering a unique variety of sounds and moods.
